Part 2 of the Addictions series is now available right here on this page on the 'Blog Talk Radio' player box to your right. It was an interesting Biblical analysis on this subject. Did you know the word 'addicted' occurs one time in the Bible? And it shows that we're gonna be 'addicted' to something, so why not to God. Here's the verse:
"I beseech you brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have ADDICTED themselves to the ministry of the saints)." (1 Corinthians 16:15).
With this in mind, 'addictions' in a negative term always focuses on SELF as opposed to being 'addicted' to God focuses on OTHERS.
Welcome!
Here you will find clear and in-depth commentary of the Bible from your beloved teacher, James S. Hodges. He will also show how the Bible applies to us in various social issues. The purpose of this blog is to let the clear and relevant teaching of the Bible be a witness to anyone who doesn't have a relationship with the Lord and to help Christians grow in their walk with the Lord.
